in the stars
The theme of the 29th Shakespeare festival was centered around the idea of stars and constellations. We used this idea to create an astrology aesthetic with the company's logo. This theme carried over into the graphics and imagery for the whole season including postcard designs, program layout and street banners.
as you like it
The first performance for the season was the comedy As You Like It. The festival's performance was set in the 1960s. So we used the starry imagery to create a colorful, trippy view of the night sky through the branches of the forest.

henry iv part 1
The second performance of the season was Henry IV Part 1. We continued the constellation theme by using a darker starry background and illustrating an elaborate sparkling crown in the stars.
As part of this campaign we designed several marketing pieces, both digital and traditional including postcards, street banners, program layout, script covers, and social media branding.

capturing
character
We helped promote the festival with promotional photography for each of the plays and photographing the rehearsals.

We've provided graphic design and photography for the New Orleans Shakespeare Festival since 2017. See our work from other seasons.
